With the help of custom widgets, you can visualize and track different events such as contracts signed, payments collected, sales quotes sent, etc. Everyone within a workspace except people under the Guest role can create custom widgets.

You can create up to 15 widgets to track different events.

To create a custom widget, go to the Analytics tab on the Dashboard.

Select Manage and proceed with the new widget creation.

Widget setup

Configure your custom widget by adding the required details to describe the widget.

  1. Enter the title for the widget. It can be any data you’d like to track, e.g. invoice data, contract data, sales order details, etc. Custom widgets can display up to 5 graph lines that provide insight into how effective your workflow is with metrics like the number of documents signed, archived, payments made, etc.

  2. Click the Add line button in the Widget lines section.

Line setup

  1. Add a line title and description.

  2. Select a workflow where you’d like to track the data you need. You can select multiple workflows by putting a checkmark next to the corresponding one.

  3. Click the Apply selected button.

Add conditions

Add ‘if-this-then-that’ conditions for when the data will be tracked. You can add multiple conditions that will trigger the widget to start tracking specific data.

  1. Select a document within a workflow.

  2. Select a field that will act as a trigger. Once this field has been completed or signed, the graph line will display the data you need to track.

  3. Click the Create Line button. If you click the Discard changes button, all the information that you’ve entered will be removed.

If needed, add more lines using the method described above.

To finish the widget setup, click Create widget.

The new custom widget will appear on your Dashboard. From there, you can edit your widget, hide it from your dashboard, or permanently remove it.

Manage access permissions to widgets

Everyone within a workspace, except people under the Guest role, can create custom widgets. However, only the workspace Owner and Supervisor can manage access permissions to their widgets and share them with anyone in the workspace.

When shared, a custom widget will appear in the Team widgets tab, where only those with whom this widget was shared can see it.

Build reports

You can create and download PDF, CSV, or XLS reports based on any field in a document, data value, or activity displayed by the analytics widget.

Select what widget data you’d like to build a report for and select a report format: PDF, CSV file, or Excel spreadsheet. Click Download report as PDF, Download report as CSV, or Download report as XLS.
