General
Split large PDF documents into smaller sections or pages before exporting them to the cloud using the Split PDF Document bot. Automate the process of splitting documents to save time and reduce errors that often occur when splitting documents manually. The bot is also useful for workflows that involve multiple stakeholders or departments, where each requires access to specific sections or information contained in a document.
Note: the Bot is only available for Document generation and PDF documents.
How to set up
When the bot works by default:
The Split PDF Document bot activates when a document is opened for filling out by a recipient.
Add the bot depending on your needs as described in this article. You may install this bot in the step,between the steps or using All bots section.
Find the Split PDF Document bot in the list of bots and click Install bot.
Select the document(s) and their pages that should be imported to the destination Placeholder document.
Conditions
Configure the bot execution conditions based on simple “if-this-then-that” rules. For example, you can set conditions based on document field information, recipient data, date of document signing, document data, and decline reason. Learn more about bot conditions usage in the dedicated article.
Advanced settings
In this section, you can set additional bot configurations:
Determine how often the bot will run
Decide what to do with a revision if the bot fails
Add tags to your document to easily locate it
