eSignature can be used for certifying documents, negotiating contracts, and sealing deals in virtually any industry, with a few exceptions imposed by state or federal laws. However, using this type of signature isn’t limited solely to the corporate world.

Use the Signature field in your document if you require an eSignature from a recipient.

1.Select Start > Send documents. The aforementioned option is also available in the Getting started section.

2. Add documents as described in this article.

Note: The Signature field is available for the following document types: web-forms, PDFs, contracts, and generated documents.

3. Add fillable fields (if required) and a Signature field.

PDF document

Contracts and generated documents

Assign the Signature field to recipients. This can be done in the document itself (instructions in this article) or in the Step configuration (instructions in this article).

The field’s assignment determines which recipient can interact with that field. When you set a field as required, it will force the recipient to fill the field before they can complete the document. The user interface will prompt and point the recipient to the field.

4. Once the workflow setup process is completed, you may proceed with the document sending.

Run a one-time process immediately and send invites to the recipients specified in the Steps using the Send documents or Send now option. You can also sed documents to multiple recepients using the Send in bulk option.

Monitor the progress of the documents completion in the Documents tab.

Once the document filling out is completed, feel free to download it. Go to the Documents tab> More actions> Download.

Besides the document itself, the file also contains a Certificate of Completion with details about the document signer(s).

5 . You may also set up automation workflow using the Design workflow option to eliminate routine actions. Detailed instructions can be found in this article.

Find in the instructions on how to fill out the documents in this article.
