Suggest changes in your DOCX documents and send revisions of your DOCX documents to stakeholders. Accept or decline changes made by stakeholders. Once suggestions are approved in a DOCX document, you can generate it as a finalized PDF document and send it out for signing.
How to start collaborating on your contracts?
1. Once a revision of a DOCX document has been created, it will open in the online editor with the Track Changes mode enabled (by default).
If your workflow wasn’t set up with any pre-fill bots, you’ll see pre-fillable tags hidden and not replaced with any other content.
If Pre-fill bots worked on your revision, then instead of tags you’ll see text generated from Pre-fill bot data.
If the DOCX document contained any fillable fields, their appearance will remain the same after a revision of the DOCX document has been created.
If the DOCX document contained any fillable field tags, then after a revision has been created, you’ll see fillable fields as tags.
Start making suggestions by editing the necessary parts of the document.
Change a document's content, formatting, layout, and insert or delete items.
Once edited, your suggestions will be automatically shown as highlighted in red.
Click on the needed suggestion to view its purpose, date and time it was made, and whom it was made by.
To delete suggestions, click the trash icon in the suggestion information window.
Select Other Actions at the bottom for more options.
When finished, select Complete.
If you’ve assigned any roles to the document, the completed revision of the DOCX document will be sent to your stakeholders automatically.
Download a DOCX document with all edits and changes, save it in any other format or print it out. Click the three dots and select the option you need.
How to finish collaborating on your contracts?
Once your colleagues or stakeholders have received your revision (created out of a DOCX document), your suggestions will appear highlighted in a color other than red automatically.
You can accept or reject your client’s suggestions by clicking the ✅ or ❎ buttons.
When all changes and suggestions in your DOCX document have been approved, finish collaborating on your contract by clicking Complete.
Finalize contract negotiation (convert a DOCX contract to PDF) by clicking Finalize contract.
This option is only available for users with assigned permission to finalize contracts. See how to assign this permission in the Permissions for Contract Negotiation users section of this user guide.
Once clicked, the Complete negotiation pop-up will open.
Select the checkbox next to Yes, let’s finalize this contract for signing. Then, select Finalize contract.
That’s it! A PDF document will be generated from your DOCX document containing all your edits and fillable fields added via the Fillable Field panel. Fillable field tags will be automatically converted to fillable fields, making your document ready for signing by stakeholders.
Download a PDF document, save it in any other format or print it out. Click the three dots and select the needed option.
